Crystal Healing

Discover the energy and beauty of crystals

Crystals have fascinated human beings for thousands of years. They occur naturally within the earth, and their unique physical properties have also made them valuable in science and technology.

For me, crystals are much more than beautiful stones.

They are wonderful tools for intention, meditation, energy work, and personal connection. Many people are naturally drawn to particular crystals and find that working with them helps them feel calmer, more centred, grounded, or connected.

Crystal healing is an energetic and complementary practice. It can be used alongside meditation, mindfulness, spiritual practices, and other forms of healing and self-exploration.

How can you work with crystals?

There is no single right way to work with a crystal. Your intention, your personal connection with the stone, and the way you choose to use it are all part of the experience.

Carry a crystal with you

You can keep a crystal in your pocket, handbag, or wear it as jewellery.

The crystal you choose can be connected to an intention you are working with — such as grounding, confidence, calm, emotional balance, abundance, protection, or spiritual connection.

And sometimes there doesn't need to be an intention at all.

You may simply find yourself drawn to a particular crystal. If holding or wearing it makes you feel good, peaceful, or connected, that experience itself can be meaningful.

Sleep with crystals

Some people enjoy keeping crystals beside their bed or under their pillow as part of their nighttime ritual.

Amethyst, selenite, and other traditionally calming crystals are often used in meditation and bedtime practices.

However, not every crystal is suitable for placing under a pillow, so it is important to consider the physical properties of the particular stone and use it safely.

Create an energetic space

Crystals can also be placed around your home, workspace, meditation area, or any other space that is important to you.

Different crystals are traditionally associated with different qualities and intentions.

Amethyst is often chosen for meditation and spiritual practices.

Citrine and Green Aventurine are popular choices for workspaces and intentions around growth and abundance.

Black Tourmaline is traditionally associated with grounding and energetic protection.

Rose Quartz is often used to create an atmosphere of love, harmony, and emotional softness.

There is no prescribed combination. Your own response to a crystal matters too.

Crystals for homes and spaces

Crystals can be incorporated into the energy and intention of a home or workspace in many ways.

Some people choose to place or bury crystals at particular points while constructing a home or building, with intentions such as protection, harmony, abundance, or grounding.

Others simply place crystals in meaningful locations around their home.

A crystal does not need to be hidden away to be effective as part of your spiritual practice. It can also be a beautiful reminder of the intention you have chosen for yourself and your space.

Aura and energy cleansing

Certain crystals are traditionally used in energy-cleansing practices.

Kyanite and Selenite, for example, are often used in practices intended to cleanse or refresh the aura and energetic field.

This can be as simple as holding the crystal, moving it gently around the body, or using it during meditation.

Crystals can also be incorporated into chakra practices. A crystal associated with a particular chakra can be placed on or near that area while you relax, meditate, or simply bring your awareness to the body.

The intention is to create a quiet space for awareness, relaxation, and energetic balance.

Crystal Grids

A crystal grid is a beautiful way of bringing together crystals, intention, and sacred geometry.

A grid can be created for an individual intention, a home, a workspace, or another meaningful purpose.

A simple grid might include a central crystal representing the primary intention, surrounded by other crystals chosen to support it. You may also place a name, photograph, written intention, or symbol beneath the central crystal.

More elaborate grids can incorporate sacred geometric patterns and specific crystal combinations.

The process of creating a grid can itself become a form of meditation — a way of becoming clear about what you want to invite into your life and consciously placing your attention on that intention.

Choosing the right crystal

There are countless crystals, and there are equally countless systems for assigning meanings and properties to them.

I don’t believe you always need to follow a fixed rule.

Sometimes you choose a crystal because of its traditional properties. Sometimes you choose it because of what you are currently experiencing. And sometimes you simply walk into a room full of crystals and one of them catches your eye.

Trusting that connection can be part of the experience.

Your relationship with a crystal is personal.

You can work with crystals with a specific intention, or simply enjoy their beauty, presence, and symbolism.

Crystal Healing Sessions

In a crystal healing session, I work intuitively with crystals and energy to create a space for relaxation, awareness, and balance.

The crystals selected during a session may vary depending on the intention and what emerges during the session. You may also be guided towards crystals that you can continue to work with at home.

Crystal healing is a complementary spiritual practice and should not be considered a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. Individual experiences and results vary from person to person.

Let the crystals find you.

Whether you are completely new to crystals or have been working with them for years, there is always something new to discover.

Sometimes healing begins with an intention.

Sometimes with a meditation.

And sometimes, simply with picking up a crystal and noticing how you feel.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Crystal healing is a complementary and energetic practice that uses crystals as tools for relaxation, meditation, intention-setting, and spiritual or personal exploration. Different crystals are traditionally associated with different qualities, and a session may involve placing or working with selected crystals around the body or energy field.

There is no single crystal that is right for everyone. Your choice may depend on your intention, what you are currently experiencing, or simply the crystal you naturally feel drawn towards. During a session, I can also help you explore which crystals may be appropriate for your intention.

Crystal healing should be understood as a complementary spiritual and energetic practice, rather than a treatment for medical conditions. Some people find crystals helpful for relaxation, emotional wellbeing, meditation, or creating supportive rituals. They should not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.

A session begins with a conversation about what you would like to explore or work with. I then intuitively select crystals based on your intention and the session. You may be asked to lie down comfortably while crystals are placed around or on specific areas of the body, or they may be used around your energy field. The session is generally quiet and relaxing, allowing you to simply be present and notice your experience.

Yes. Many people enjoy carrying crystals in their pocket or handbag, wearing them as jewellery, or keeping them in a particular place at home or work. You can choose a crystal according to an intention, or simply because you enjoy its presence. It is also worth checking the physical properties of a particular stone before wearing it continuously, as some crystals are softer or more sensitive to water, sunlight, or chemicals.

Some people enjoy keeping crystals beside their bed or under their pillow as part of a calming nighttime ritual. However, not every crystal is suitable for this. Some stones are fragile, have sharp edges, or may be affected by moisture, so I generally recommend choosing an appropriate crystal and placing it beside the bed if you are unsure.

Many crystal traditions include practices for cleansing and charging crystals. These may involve moonlight, sunlight, sound, meditation, intention, or other methods. However, not every crystal should be exposed to water or prolonged sunlight. The safest method depends on the particular stone, and I can guide you on how to care for your crystals.

Absolutely. Crystals can be incorporated into everyday life in very simple ways. You can keep one on your desk, beside your bed, in your meditation space, or somewhere meaningful in your home. You can also create a crystal grid around a particular intention. The practice can be as simple or elaborate as feels right for you.

You don’t have to follow a particular belief system to work with crystals. What is important is the intention you bring to the crystal.

A crystal can become a focus for the energy and intention you choose to work with. When you consciously select a crystal, set an intention, and spend time connecting with it, you are also bringing your own awareness and energy to that intention.

For example, if you choose Rose Quartz with the intention of bringing more love and compassion into your life, the crystal can serve as a physical reminder of that intention. Each time you hold it, wear it, meditate with it, or see it, you reconnect with what you have chosen to cultivate within yourself.

The crystal is therefore not simply something that you use — it becomes part of a conscious practice.

You don’t have to force yourself to believe that a crystal will do something for you. Approach it with curiosity, set your intention, and notice how you experience it.

Your intention is an important part of the healing process.
